10. Click and drag down to the bottom of the front leg in the template artwork.
When the cursor feedback shows the line is 1 in long, release the mouse button.
Use cursor feedback to
determine the length
of the new line.
11. Command/Control-click away from the selected line to deselect it.
12. Click again at the point where the lines meet, and drag to create the
figure’s top arm segment.
The new line uses the same stroke attributes as the previous ones unless you change those
settings before drawing. In this case, the 12-pt stroke is too heavy, so you need to reduce it.
13. Using the Control panel or the Stroke panel, change the line weight to 8 pt.
14. Deselect the new line, then draw the lower segment of the figure’s arm.
15. Using the Line Segment tool, click and drag to create the walking stick.
Define the line to have a 4-pt stroke with round caps.
16. Save the file and continue to the next exercise.
