Project 1: Composite Movie Adproject objectives art director commentsPROJECT MEETING client commentsHere%u2019s a basic synopsis of the movie:A massive hurricane, unlike anything ever seen on the West Coast of the United States, takes aim at San Francisco. The Category 5 hurricane sparks tidal waves, fires, and floods. The resulting destruction dwarfs even the earthquake and fire of 1906. The movie follows the storm survivors through the process of rebuilding, both personally and politically. This movie is going to be one of our summer blockbusters, and we%u2019re throwing a lot of resources behind it. We%u2019ll be putting the same ad in multiple magazines, and they all use different software to create the layouts. We need the ad to work for all of our placements, regardless of the software being used by the publishers. The client loved the initial concept sketch I submitted last week, so we%u2019re ready to start building the files. I%u2019ve had the photographer prepare the images we need, and the client has provided the studio and rating logo files. They also sent me the primary magazine specs:%u2013%u00a0 Files should be submitted as flattened TIFF%u00a0files%u2013%u00a0 Bleed size: 8.75%u02dd %u00d7 11.25%u02dd%u2013%u00a0 Trim size: 8.5%u02dd %u00d7 11%u02dd%u2013%u00a0 Live area: 8%u02dd %u00d7 10.5%u02ddAfter you have created the final file for printing, I%u00a0also need you to create a flattened JPEG file for use in digital media. To complete this project, you will:o Resize a raster image to change the resolutiono Composite multiple images into a single background fileo Incorporate both raster and vector elements into the same designo Transform and arrange individual layers to create a cohesive designo Create layer groups to easily manage related layer contento Use selection techniques to isolate images from their backgroundso Save two types of files for different media requirementsWatch the video Composite Movie Ad Project Introduction in your online student resources.
