Against the Clock ships orders via US Media Mail. Orders received on our web site ship within 48 business hours – most of the time, we ship the same or the very next business day. If you require expedited shipping, you can select this option during your check out. Media Mail typically takes 4 to 7 days in transit, depending on where you are located. How do I access the files for my CS5 (or later) book?

Create an Account (bottom-left corner of our site). While filling out the form to create an account, you will have the option to insert your Unique Code (located on the inside-back cover of your book) into the appropriate field for your books title.

Once you are logged in (you will see your user name on the bottom-left corner of the site), Click on My Account & Files. Then, to the Right, Click on My Student Resource Files to display the list of files associated with your book. Click the file name listing in the Right Column to download the zip files that are required to complete the projects in your book.

I already have an account but I did not enter my code?

If you already have an account on the ATC web site, log in, Click My Account & Files, then on the Right, Click on Enter Student Resource Files Code, you will have the option to insert your Unique Code (located on the inside-back cover of your book) into the appropriate field for your books title. Save.

Click on My Student Resource Files to display the list of files associated with your book. Click the file name listing in the Right Column to download the zip files that are required to complete the projects in your book.

I bought a used book and now my code will not work. I do not want to buy a new book.

If you have purchased a Used book without a CD (prior to CS5) or without a valid Student-Resources Number (for CS5 and later versions), you will need to either purchase a CD (for CS4 titles) or an Access Code for CS5 titles. If you have purchased a New Book and your Code is not working correctly, please email or fax a copy of your bookstore receipt to information@againsttheclock.com or fax to 727-289-8743 with a request for a replacement code. The invoice copy must show the price and title of the book. Double-check to be certain that your book is new if the Code was used by the previous owner, it will no longer work and you will need to purchase a new code. Where are the ATC Fonts?

To access and download the ATC Fonts to work with your book, Click the Downloads button on our site, and then scroll down to download either the Mac or Windows fonts.

I have CS5.5 and the Against The Clock book is for CS5.

If you are using one of our CS5 titles, and have upgraded your software to CS5.5, please check the Downloads Errata page to see if there might be changes associated with your book(s). While we have not upgraded our books for 5.5, we have reviewed them and have noted any exercises that might work differently with this new .5 release. If your title is not listed, there are no notes available and the exercises and projects will work as-printed.

If there are references in our books that are version-specific for the CS5.5 upgrade, they will be noted here. Replacement files, if necessary will also be available here for download.

The files I downloaded appear to be the wrong ones.

Each of the ATC books includes both regular step-by-step projects as well as Portfolio Builder assignments. If you have downloaded the files for your book but they appear to be the wrong files and do not match your book, check to be sure you are downloading the correct items the Left Column displays the name of the book, the Middle Columns is the Description of the file, and the far-right Column is the downloadable zip file. I am an instructor and I need to access the instructor resources.

If you are already a registered instructor, log in, then Click on the Instructor Tab to display the resources associated with your book of choice. If you are not already registered, click on the Instructor Tab and:

First Create a New Account and Log in.
Once logged in, return to the Instructor Page and select one or more of the following options:

Request a Desk Copy to review for possible adoption.
Request a Teacher Copy. We have adopted one or more ATC books.
Request access to the ATC Instructor Resources.

Once verified, you will be contacted and/or your instructor access will be granted.

I cannot remember my user name and password.

In the bottom-left corner of the site, click on Request New Password to be directed to a page to enter your email and request a new password and then edit your personal information. If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact us at information@againsttheclock.com.

Does this book come with the software?

No, Against The Clock books do not ship with the Adobe Software. To learn more about, download a demo, or purchase Adobe Software, visit www.adobe.com.

Can I log in from more than one computer?

Yes, as long as you log in to our site using your User Name and Password, you will be able to log in from home, school or office. Your account is tied to your name and email address.

I bought a replacement code, when am I going to receive it?

If you have purchased a replacement code for a used book (CS5 or newer), the files associated with this code will automatically be added to your account. You will not receive a physical code in the mail or by email, rather the files associated with your book will automatically populate your Against The Clock Account. Log in with your User Name and Password, click on My Account and Files, then click on My Student Resource Files to display and download the files.

What is your Return Policy?

Against The Clock will issue a refund to your original form of payment for items returned (arrival here at our offices) within 14 days if the following are met:

  1. Book must ARRIVE back in original condition; shrink-wrapped products must be unopened. The Codes on the inside back covers of the books must not be used, and there must be no stickers, residue, or any other damage to the book and/or its cover. The book must be in resalable condition.
  2. Package your return book so that it arrives in perfect and resalable condition. Since 100% of our orders are shipped with ground or air services, it is likely that your return book will need to be "RE-Packaged" in order for it to make it back to us in Perfect Condition.
  3. For multiple book returns, please be sure there is a slip sheet between each book, in the same manner that it arrived.
  4. Include your original order receipt within your package, and please include your email address for contact.

Your return shipment will be inspected upon arrival. As long as the order arrives in perfect condition, a Credit will be issued immediately.

A 15% Re-stock fee will apply to all returns.

If you purchased your eBook through kno.com,

  1. Create a New Account.
  2. Click here to send us an email AND forward us a copy of your receipt.

Once we receive your proof or purchase/receipt, we will populate your account with the files that accompany your new eBook.
